Meet Jo

I am a wife, Mother of four and a native to Colorado Springs. I love fashion but when I learned about the garment workers in the fashion industry and how they suffer for the sake of the clothes we wear, my heart broke and I decided I needed to do something! My desire is to offer the slow fashion solution to the urgent catastrophe the fast fashion industry has created.

Fast fashion has trained us to think we deserve the right to cheap and convenient shopping.

I am here to challenge this.

I want women to know that the most sustainable choice they can make is shopping their own closets for what is already there! Do you have a closet full of clothes but “nothing to wear”? I can help! Not only do I help you find your body type, but I offer to bring life to your closet by styling you in what you already own! Most of us have stunning items that we just don’t wear because we’re unsure how to style it!

Why does Slow Fashion matter?

Because people matter. Our fellow humans are forced into horrific working conditions just so we can buy a top for $3.99. We MUST challenge this toxic fashion environment that says “you deserve cheap clothes at your convenience.” There is a very high cost to this.

What is the Slow Fashion Way?

The Slow Fashion Way is a patient and thoughtful approach to fashion. It honors the hands that make our clothes by wearing rewearing what we own, changing our shopping habits to be secondhand shopping first or simply taking shopping breaks.
